Professor Michels considered issues relating to civil liability for artificial intelligence as part of the Members Consultative Group of the American Law Institute in Philadelphia on March 7, 2025. He discussed the opportunities and challenges of AI in the business setting in April of 2023 in a panel presented by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce; and in the education setting in a panel before the NJ Council of County Vocational-Technical Schools in July of 2023, and as guest speaker at the Morris Area Curriculum Network in October of 2023.
